An Important Announcement to Our Students and Parents
|
We are pleased to inform you of the continued availability of the Tuition Refund Plan (T.R.P.), which refunds your term tuition, room and activity fee (less any credit due you from RPI) in the event you are forced to withdraw because of a personal illness or accident. Students not residing on campus will be covered for tuition and fees.
This plan extends and enhances the RPI published refund policy. You are assured of a 100% refund throughout the term even after the RPI refund policy has expired (mental health withdrawals are covered at 60%). This is beneficial if you are forced to withdraw and then return for a later term. In effect, you will not have to pay to repeat lost education. The chart below illustrates how the Tuition Refund Plan complements the RPI refund schedule. |
| | | If Withdrawal Occurs | RPI Refunds | The T.R.P. Refunds | Student Receives | | Before end of first week | 100% | 0% | 100% | | Before end of two weeks | 90% | 10% | 100% | | Before end of three weeks | 80% | 20% | 100% | | Before end of four weeks | 70% | 30% | 100% | | Before end of six weeks | 60% | 40% | 100% | | Before end of seven weeks | 50% | 50% | 100% | | Before end of nine weeks | 40% | 60% | 100% | | After nine weeks | 0% | 100% | 100% |

RPI is pleased to offer this optional Plan. We do ask that you read the coverage section carefully to determine the suitability of this Plan for you.
If you wish to participate online, you must submit the application before the opening date of the fall semester. Applications will not be accepted on or after the opening date.
