To Our Students and Parents:
With the current level of education costs, we have a concern for the student who suffers a serious illness or accident and has to leave Saint Joseph's University before the semester is completed. In many instances it means not only the loss of time invested in studies, but also the loss of the semester's costs.

We are pleased to advise you of an insurance program, the Tuition Refund Plan (T.R.P.), which will minimize the financial portion of the loss. This elective insurance plan provides coverage for tuition, activity fee, room and board charges. A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. offers this Plan, underwritten by a member company of the OneBeacon Insurance Group, at a cost of $460.00, $417.00 or $345.00 depending upon the fees covered.

This Plan significantly extends and enhances the University's published refund policy. You are eligible for a 75% refund throughout the term, even after the University’s policy has expired. This is especially beneficial when you are forced to withdraw and then return for a later term. In effect, you will not have to pay in full to repeat lost education credits. For withdrawal due to medical illness or accident, the chart below illustrates how the Tuition Refund Plan co-ordinates with our own refund schedule for tuition (see University Catalogue for University's refund share for room and board charges).

We are providing the Tuition Refund Plan as an option for students and parents. It is vital that those who wish to participate online submit their application and premium before the University's opening date of classes.
