To Marquette Students and Parents:
|
What happens to your tuition if you are forced to leave school due to an accident or illness during the semester?
We are pleased to inform you of an insurance program, the Tuition Refund Plan (TRP), which will minimize the loss of tuition and fees should a serious illness or accident force a student to withdraw from the semester. This plan provides coverage for tuition, board and room charges and is underwritten by one of the member companies of the OneBeacon Insurance Group. The yearly cost is $389.00 for campus resident students and $295.00 for students living off-campus.
The Tuition Refund Plan significantly enhances the Marquette University published refund policy. You are eligible for a 75% refund throughout the term if you withdraw due to a medical reason even after the University's own refund policy has expired. The coverage will help offset the cost to repeat lost education. The chart below illustrates how the plan complements the Marquette University refund schedule for tuition costs.

Room and Board charges are pro-rated by the University in the event of withdrawal. The Tuition Refund Plan will refund room and board charges beyond the University's pro-rata share up to 75% of semester fees for covered medical withdrawals.
Note: Refunds for students receiving Federal Financial Aid will be pro-rated in accordance with federal regulations.
The Tuition Refund Plan is provided as an option for students and parents. The application and premium must be submitted before the University's opening date of classes, August 27, 2012. Online applications received on or after the opening date will not be accepted. Questions may be directed to A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. at (617) 774-1555.
Thank you for your careful consideration of this protection. |
