Important Message For Students and Parents:
Protect Your Educational Investment!
With the current level of education costs, we are concerned for the students who suffer a serious illness or accident and may need to withdraw from the University before the semester is completed. In many instances, this means not only loss of time invested in studies, but also the loss of the semester's costs.

We are pleased to inform you of an insurance program, the Tuition Refund Plan (TRP), which will minimize the financial portion of the loss. This elective insurance plan provides coverage for tuition, mandatory fees and room and board charges. Accordingly, the costs insured for the 2010-2011 academic year (based on expected rates for the year) for students living on campus are $22,725 for in-state students and $36,695 for out-of-state students. For students living off campus the costs insured are $13,672 for in-state students and $27,642 for out-of-state students.

This plan significantly extends and enhances the University's published withdrawal policy. If a student withdraws because of medical/physical reasons, the plan returns 100% of the insured semester tuition and fees. If a student withdraws because of medical/psychological reasons, the plan returns 60% of the insured semester tuition and fees.

The Tuition Refund Plan is an inexpensive form of protection and we urge you to carefully read the coverage section and consider the advantages this protection provides. To enroll online, click on the application link. Applications must be submitted before August 30, 2010, the first day of classes. Online applications cannot be accepted on or after that date.

Please contact Bradford Tufts at A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. (617) 774-1555, with any questions regarding the Tuition Refund Plan.

Sincerely,

Judy Muller
