All Pomona Parents and Students:

The Tuition Refund Plan (TRP), offered by A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. is a private insurance program that supplements Pomona's refund policy by providing a refund of 100% of tuition, fees, and applicable room and board charges if, due to illness or accident, a student takes a leave of absence or withdraws after the beginning of a term.

This plan significantly extends and enhances the College's refund policy as published in the College catalog. Subscribers are provided up to a 100% refund for medical withdrawals throughout the semester even though Pomona's own refund policy may have expired at the time of withdrawal. The proceeds, after the College's outstanding balance and any financial assistance reimbursements have been cleared, would be refunded to the family in the event the student withdraws. Please note that if withdrawal is due to a mental health condition, the TRP pays only 60% of tuition, fees, and other charges.

Participation in the Tuition Refund Plan offered by A.W.G. Dewar is entirely optional, and the College's refund program is applicable whether or not you enroll in the TRP. Pomona College does not endorse this or any other private tuition insurance program, but we urge you to read the coverage section and consider the suitability of the TRP for you. Should you decide to participate in the TRP online, please complete the application prior to September 2, 2014 the first day of classes, in order to be accepted. Applications cannot be accepted on or after this date.
