June 2010
Dear College of Saint Rose Students and Parents:
|
With the current level of education costs, we are concerned for the student who suffers a serious illness or accident, and has to leave The College of Saint Rose before the semester is completed. In many instances, it means not only the loss of time invested in studies, but also the loss of a semester's costs.
Again this year, we are pleased to offer the Tuition Refund Plan. This plan, administered by A.W.G. Dewar of Quincy, Massachusetts, protects your educational investment by reimbursing you up to 75% of tuition, room and board charges, in case you (or your son/daughter) are forced to withdraw from school due to a personal illness, psychological condition, or accident.
This plan significantly extends and enhances The College's published refund policy. You are assured a refund throughout the term even after The College's own refund period has expired. This is especially beneficial when you are forced to withdraw and then return for a later term. In effect, this will help offset the cost to repeat lost education.
Please refer to The College of Saint Rose Catalog or our website at www.strose.edu for a full description of The College's refund policy. Refunds for students receiving federal financial aid are handled according to Title IV guidelines.
The cost of this plan for the entire 2010-11 academic year (Fall and Spring semesters) is $266.00 for on-campus students, $187.00 for off-campus students, and $126.00 for graduate students. The coverage section describes the plan in detail. Please read it carefully. If you wish to subscribe to the plan online, please submit your application and payment. In order to be accepted, your application must be received prior to August 30, 2010, our semester start date.
We believe this plan is an effective means of protecting the investment you are making in your (or your family member's) education, and we are pleased to present it for your consideration. Questions regarding the plan should be addressed to A.W.G. Dewar at (617) 774-1555.
Sincerely,
Jan E. Elderkin Bursar |
