To Pitzer College Families:
The Tuition Refund Plan (TRP), offered by A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. is a private insurance program that supplements Pitzer's fee refund policy by providing a refund of 100% of tuition, fees and applicable room and board charges if, due to illness or accident, a student takes a leave of absence or withdraws after the beginning of a semester.

This plan significantly extends and enhances Pitzer's refund policy as published in the College catalog. Subscribers are provided a 100% refund for medical withdrawals throughout the semester even though Pitzer's own refund policy may have expired at the time of withdrawal. The proceeds would be refunded to the family in the event of a withdrawal covered under the Plan after the student's outstanding balance, including any financial assistance reimbursements, has been cleared. Please note that the TRP covers withdrawals for mental health conditions at only 60% of tuition, fees and other charges and under specified conditions as explained in the coverage section.

Participation in the TRP offered by A.W.G. Dewar is entirely optional. The College's refund policy is applicable whether or not you enroll in the program.

Pitzer College does not endorse this or any other private tuition insurance program, but we encourage you to read the coverage section and consider the suitability of the TRP for you. Should you decide to participate in the TRP online, please submit your application with payment by September 1, 2015, the first day of classes. Online applications cannot be accepted after this date.
