Dear Penn Students and Families:
We are pleased to bring to your attention the Tuition Refund Plan (T.R.P.) offered to University of Pennsylvania students by A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. This is a private insurance program supplementing the current refund policy of the University. When you enroll in T.R.P., you are ensured of receiving a refund of 80% of tuition, mandatory fees, room and board beyond the first two weeks of the academic term, if a student takes a leave of absence or withdraws due to a qualified illness or accident.

Participation in the Tuition Refund Plan is entirely optional. Penn does not receive any portion of the application fee or any revenue from Dewar. Be assured the University's refund policy is applicable whether or not you enroll in the T.R.P. The chart below illustrates how the Tuition Refund Plan complements the University's refund schedule.
